The Texas Wholesale Hardware Association was established in 1895 with twenty nine original members and grew to a high of forty six members. Some of the members from the past included:

McLendon Hardware Co., Waco, TX established 1929

Mickle-Burgher Hardware, Memphis, TX established 1904

Muroney & Co., Dallas, TX established 1884

Nash Hardware, Ft. Worth, TX established 1911

Roberts, Sanford & Taylor Co., Sherman, TX 1886

Walter Tips Co., Austin, TX established 1884

Watts Hardware Co., San Antonio, TX

Amarillo Hardware, Amarillo, TX established 1904

The current members include Buttery Hardware, Llano, TX, Handy Hardware, Houston, TX, CC Distributors, Corpus Christie, TX, Becknell Wholesale, Lubbock, TX,HDW Co., Shreveport, LA, Blish Mize Co., Atchison, KS.

The Texas Hardware Boosters joined the Texas Wholesale Hardware Association at their meeting in 1935 and the two have been meeting together ever since this date. The Texas Hardware is the oldest hardware group still in existence today.
