Hardware Jobbers Association. The founders, all pioneering The Texas Wholesale Hardware Association was founded in 1895 as the Texas entrepreneurs, realized the importance of wholesale distribution in the supply chain and provided the tools and equipment to build the foundation of this great nation. Their enthusiasm and foresight was invaluable to the development of the wholesale hardware business in the south and was instrumental in the Associations evolution over the past 100 plus years.
Today this same pioneering spirit endures in the membership of the Texas Wholesale Hardware Association. A strong tradition of “service through distribution” supplies thousands of products to thousands of businesses in small and large quantities, suitable to their needs. The value of two-step distribution is recognized by manufactures as the only economical means of supplying their goods to the customers of the association’s member’s.
Many national manufactures and their sale representatives support the Association through The Texas Hardware Boosters Club, which was established in 1935. The relationship between the Booster and the Wholesalers is camaraderie of business associates linked by a common service to the industry.
The Boosters and Wholesales meet jointly at the Texas Wholesale Hardware Convention. The convention, held annually at resort locations, offers a forum by which
Manufacturer’s representatives and wholesalers can come together in a relaxed atmosphere to share ideas and business interests. The convention includes social activities as well as business functions designed to help stimulate the partnership process between suppliers and their customers
Some unique benefits of membership in the Texas Hardware Booster’s Club are realized at the convention. Boosters experience a business opportunity to network one-on-one with the principals, management and buying staffs of the wholesale Associations members.
